CHORI provides a wide range of support and guidance to donors who wish to make endowments, direct or planned gifts. Planned gifts, which offer a wide range of tax and estate planning benefits, include tools such as charitable remainder trusts, lead trusts and gift annuities; bequests, IRAs, and pensions among others.
Of course, donors are invited to select preferred programs or initiatives to benefit from their generosity. In partnering with CHORI, private donors, whether individuals, corporations or foundations, have the opportunity to make a significant
impact on both advancing research and meeting CHORI's commitment to increasing health and wellness across the globe.
Endowment opportunities exist to support any of CHORI's six centers of research, or to support the ongoing research of an individual investigator of national recognition. Individuals, corporations, and foundations also have the opportunity to
establish and name CHORIs first endowed chairs. These endowments
will assist with recruitment and retention of outstanding basic and clinical
researchers. Supporting scientists through endowed chairs helps maintain
the excellence of the faculty and their work in perpetuity.
Individuals, corporations or foundations may also give direct gifts to support individual research in specific areas such as cancer and birth defects prevention, genetics, blood diseases, diabetes, vaccine development, blood and marrow transplantation, nutrition and disease prevention. Gifts may also go toward the establishment of educational
programs and seminars for scientific and lay audiences.
