Current Awards

Procurement and management of grants for principal investigators at CHORI is coordinated by two hospital departments. The Children's Hospital Foundation seeks grants from non-governmental foundations, while the Sponsored Programs Office (SPO) manages all funded grants and contracts. The SPO annually monitors more than $40,000,000 in grants and contracts. CHORI's Vice President, Kathleen Hogue Gonzalez, a Certified Research Administrator, manages this office.

Committed to providing principal investigators, project directors, and program personnel with comprehensive financial, human resources, procurement, and reporting services, the SPO works in accordance with federal, sponsor, and CHRCO guidelines to support every project phase.
