Nathalie Bergeron, Ph.D.
Associate Staff Scientist
Dr. Bergeron holds a Ph.D. in Nutritional Biochemistry.  Her research is clinical in nature and focuses primarily on the quality of dietary fats and carbohydrates and their relationship to body composition, and lipoprotein metabolism and kinetics in individuals at increased risk for cardiovascular disease.   In addition to her research activities at CHORI, Dr. Bergeron is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Touro University California, College of Pharmacy.

Robin Rawlings, R.N.
Robin Rawlings, R.N. worked for many years as a critical care and middle management nurse in acute care hospitals. For the past seventeen years she has been Clinical Coordinator and Nurse Manager for the Cholesterol Research Center (CRC), an off-site clinical research unit for CHORI.

The CRC staff, managed by Robin, mainly conducts metabolic and cardiovascular human research studies looking at the interaction between diet, weight and genetic markers for cardiovascular disease. The current study will examine the effects of resistant starch on markers for cardiovascular disease risk.
