Ronald M. Krauss, MD

Dr. Krauss is a world renowned researcher in the field of cardiovascular disease and has contributed significantly to the understanding of how diet and genetics affect the risk for heart disease. Patty Siri-Tarino, PhD
Program Director, The Family Heart & Nutrition Center
Associate Staff Scientist, Atherosclerosis Research, CHORI

Dr. Siri-Tarino has a BS in Biology and German Area Studies from Tufts University, an MS in Epidemiology from Erasmus University in the Netherlands and a PhD in Nutrition from Columbia University. She has worked with Dr. Krauss for over ten years designing and conducting dietary and pharmacological intervention trials aimed at identifying optimal diet and drug therapies for cardiometabolic risk reduction. Dr. Siri-Tarino has an interest in making research accessible to the community and believes in empowering people with skills and knowledge to enable them to live full and happy lives.
