The day-long event begins at 9:30 am in the Senior Center at the Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza with presentations by CHORI's up and coming post-doctoral scientists. Oral presentations will be followed by Q&A poster sessions over lunch with these junior scientists about their research and what they are doing to continue the long tradition of innovation and cutting edge research at CHORI.

The afternoon will kick off with an introduction from CHORI executive director and senior scientist, Alexander Lucas, PhD, who will provide a brief overview of CHORI's journey from just a handful of researchers to a multi-million-dollar research enterprise. The highlight of the day will be scientific presentations by 4 prominent keynote speakers: Katherine S. Pollard, of the Gladstone Institutes; Joseph L. DeRisi, PhD, of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute at UC San Francisco; Jay B. Hollick, PhD, of the Department of Plant & Microbial Biology at UC Berkeley; and Helen H. Hobbs, MD, the Director of the McDermott Center at the University of Texas, Southwestern.

The celebration will continue after the keynote addresses with a reception in the library and a presentation to honor those staff who have been with CHORI for 25 years or more. Please - join us for the celebration!
