Thalassemia Studies

All the studies exploring the various aspects of thalassemia are conducted by the Thalassemia Clinical Research Network, which can not be successful without the participation from patients and families of patients with thalassemia. We thank all of you who have participated and those who will participate in the future for your time and efforts that you have dedicated to further the cause of thalassemia research. By working together, we hope to establish new therapies to keep patients with thalassemia healthy throughout their lives.

There are multiple studies going on within the TCRN, which can be found in the table below. Clicking on a study's name will provide brief description if the study.

If there are any studies that you would like further information about, please call Nancy Sweeters, RN, PNP at Children's Hospital & Research Center at Oakland, 510-428-3885, ext. 4151 or ask your clinical care provider.
