Jennifer Michlitsch, MD

Originally from the Bay Area, Dr. Michlitsch attended Berkeley High School and then did her undergraduate training at Harvard University.  After medical school at the University of Southern California, she completed a residency in pediatrics at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, before coming to Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland in 2006 for her fellowship in hematology/oncology.  During the 2nd and 3rd year of fellowship her research focus at CHORI entailed examining the reactivation of the silenced gamma globin gene in hematopoietic stem cells.  In 2009 she completed her fellowship and has stayed on at CHRCO as an attending physician.  Her current focus is on clinical oncology, with a special interest in the leukemias and lymphomas.  She has a strong interest in clinical research is excited to be joining the IRB.
