- Support Dr. Babak Oskouian, SAA Fellow, in his transition to an independent career in cancer research. Dr. Oskouian is studying the relationship between a leukemia breakpoint gene called Af1q and growth-regulatory lipids called sphingolipids.
- Support studies undertaken by Dr. Martha Ladner in the laboratory of Dr. Elizabeth Trachtenberg, where she is trying to gain a better understanding of how natural killer cell immunogenetics can be leveraged to improve survival and reduce relapse rates in acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) patients undergoing bone marrow transplantation.
- Support studies undertaken by Dr. Lucia Carbone investigating epigenetic changes in lymphoma/leukemia which may explain the increased propensity of cancer cells to undergo chromosomal breaks and rearrangements.
- Purchase histology equipment
